A place full of history

In Hanseatic times, Gdańsk was one of the most important trading ports in Europe, and the Granary Island played a key role in the storage and transshipment of goods. Over the years, due to a turbulent history, the island's buildings were destroyed and remained neglected for decades.
The Granaria project was created as a response to the need to revitalize this unique place. In the 1990s, the city decided to restore Granary Island to its former significance and glory – with respect for its heritage, but in a modern form. Granaria is the result of this vision: a prestigious investment combining history with modernity, in the very heart of Gdańsk.
